Is my ipod touch really dead?

Well I am using my iPod touch now haha and I did that once too except my iPod got completely submerged in the water for like 5 seconds. All I did was try to keep using it... And it still worked/ works. But at first for a while it would like die super easy on me but it works okay still. I think you should be fine, they are built pretty tough.
