You have to have the company who the pre |Payment meter is with.Having the meter changed requires the meter readings to be changed from the reading on the meter to the new one, and your supplier has to have the new reading. When they realise some other company changed the meter without their permission, they will charge you for all the cost they informed you of. Your supplier becomes the owner of the meter when a customer changes to Scottish Power. which is the supplier at the moment.
